My horse had to be put on prascend, when I could not control his insulin levels with natural supplements. However this caused him to develop anhidrodis, so my vet put him on a new supplement from Kentucky equine research, “Insulin-Wise”. In the last six months, he has been weaned completely off of the Prascend, he had to undergo acupuncture in order to get him sweating again, but recent blood work showed that his insulin levels for the first time in five years were actually below normal. And the supplement is 2/3 less than the Prascend in cost.
