    How about coconut oil

      Hi Elizabeth–This is what Dr. Getty says in the article, “it’s best to avoid coconut oil and animal fat. These contain too much saturated fat and horses are just not designed to handle these feed sources.” I know of several nutritionists who agree with Dr. Getty on this point, but I also know of people who swear by coconut oil. So I guess we all need to do our own research to come to a conclusion on this one!
